21 July : leg # 3 return : Grozny (Chechenia) - Tblisi (Georgia) 315 km

Unfortunately the weather forecast for the day proved to be right, we woke up under a light rain that was gone by the time we were ready to move on under a  dark sky promising more bad weather.
From Chechenia we moved on to Ossetia and even though they both are Russian republics we had to go through immigration and re-registration again.
The landscape changed drastically after Valdikavkaz riding on in a valley between steep mountains.
It took long time to clear the Russian border around one hour while the immigration formalities at the border.
We cross the border with the Georgia in 10',  police saying" welcome to Georgia" to us.

Few km after, near the Gegeti village, Giacomo and Luca road the bikes to the Tsmisa Sameda church at 2170 mt on a very 6 km challenging road for 4x4 cars only. Lorenzo an Giovanni , not having the right tyres, followed with a 4x4 car.
At lunch we tasted some good Georgia beer at long last.

Late in the afternoon we arrived in Tbilisi where we met Yerta, his friends Aibeck and Adil .
Together we visited the town Very nice Tblisi by night, with several monument floodlit.
After we met with local bikers at the  restaurant Kakhelebi with the owner Lekso . All were very interested to know more about our trip. IIt has been a very good evening. We tested very good Georgian food and wine  We met a lot of friends

Tomorrow we will continue the visit of Georgia, We plan to reach Mestia after 450 km , in the Svaneti Region

Giacomo - did you get me a Georgian hat for my collection ? Georgian wine is good - not quite Brunello but not bad. Am pleased that your return journey is more relaxing. Take care.
